And if you're in Utah ... →
Can’t make it to Reno, Nev., for next month’s ukulele festival? There’s going to be one in American Fork, Utah, just off Interstate 15. They had a pretty successful ukulele choir camp last summer.

And now this message
This arrived in my inbox recently from Scottish blogger cumbersmerch. Her Tumblr is gleekwinchester. She issues this request: “Hiii, I would be eternally grateful if you could maybe post this message, I have been posting some Ukulele chords on my page as most of the sites I find tend to only have the classic Ukulele tunes. I’ve put up some more modern stuff and hopefully I’ll...

And another uker is born
Jon Bloor is a Liverpool solicitor and the chairman of the Wirral Ukulele Orchestra. Read about how he picked up his wife’s neglected uke one day and never looked back.

Even easier uke charts!
Last month I posted a link to a nifty little Microsoft Word thingy that helps you make your own uke songbook pages complete with chord diagrams and lyrics. Now I’ve found an even EASIER one — Uke Geek’s Scriptasaurus. Just type in the lyrics with the chord changes in brackets, and BLAMMO! Instant songbook page. No cutting and pasting required. Give it a try.

The Ten Commandments*
Everybody posts tips for the beginning ukulele player. You might have missed this pretty good list, though, since it’s posted on a piano blog blog that steals content and doesn’t bestow proper credit to the creator. Enjoy! *For ukes. Kinda. Or not. UPDATE: Stupid Internet thievery. Gotta give credit where credit is due. The site I linked to actually ripped off the top 10 list from...
